Happy new years everyone! I am here in Sydney and having a great time! We spent new years in a large park near the Sydney Opera House and watched the fireworks show... It was a very fun night!
Sydney has been nice... My friend Ian has a flat in a suburb about an hour away so we have been taking the train to the city each day to go shopping at QVB (Queen Victoria's Basement - a giant underground mall that spans like 3 subway stops!). At night, Ian and his friend Or have been taking me around to the different areas of the city to get a feel for each place. THe nightlife here reminds me a lot of LA...
Yesterday we actually started out the day with a tour of the Opera House... The main concert hall is truly amazing with a giant pipe organ that took 10 years to construct!
I want to write more but I actually have to run right now. I'm catching a plane to Brisbane in about 2 hours!
